Small Game Pouch & Horn

This pouch is made from veg tanned calf and measures 6-1/2" wide by 5" deep. The horn, measures 11" long ATOC and is 2-1/8" in diameter at the butt and has a chip carved cherry butt plug. The horn has scrimshawed crude concentric rings. A river cane powder measure and a wound brass vent plug complete the set.

Hunting pouch and horn combo

This small pouch and horn was made for a days squirrel hunt.  The pouch measures 6" wide by 5-1/2 " deep and is made from veg tanned calf.  The beaver tail flap is lined with ticking.  The horn measures 8-1/2" long and 2-1/8" diameter at the butt.  The combo features a horn powder measure, a wound brass wire vent pick and two torpedo type game hangers also made from horn.

French & Indian Map Horn

This F&I map horn covers from New York City up to Lake Ontario and Montreal. It is 16-1/2 inches long and 2-7/8 inches in diameter at the butt end. It has a flat black walnut butt plug and a rosewood violin key as a spout peg.

Small Bag Horn/Day Horn

This bag horn/day horn is approximately 7-1/4 inches long, not including the spout plug, and 1-3/4 inches in diameter at the butt end. It has a lathe turned maple butt plug and a tapered ebony spout plug that is reminiscent of a chess playing piece. The white part of the horn was stained with aqua fortis and the whole horn was given a couple of coats of beeswax. This horn is done in a primitive style and still shows some file and scraper marks. There is no provision for a strap, but can be hung on a cord or string. It has wonderful color and is just the right size for a days squirrel hunting with that small caliber rifle. Carry it in your hunting pouch or in your pocket.
